"Moldovanke" (Matthew Naughtin)

Moldovanke was the old 'thieves' quarter' in the Ukrainan port city of Odessa on the Black Sea. This arrangement of one of the popular songs played by Yiddish dance bands in Odessa begins with a slow, improvisatory introduction and builds up speed to a fiery, headlong climax.

Available in two versions: a Trio for Clarinet, Viola and Piano and a Sextet for Clarinet, String Quartet and Piano.

Duration: ca. 7 min.
